Washington D.C. [USA], Jan. 20 : Miguel Ferrer, who starred in NBC's crime series 'Crossing Jordan' recently passed away. He was 61.
Surrounded by close friends and family, the veteran actor breathed his last in his home after a battle with cancer, reports People magazine.
Ferrer was born on February 7, 1955 to singer and actress Rosemary Clooney and Academy Award winner Jose Ferrer.
Ferrer previously starred as Dr. Garret Macy on ' Crossing Jordan' from 2001-2007 and starred as Owen Granger on 'NCIS: Los Angeles' from 2012 up until the time of his death.
Washington D.C. [USA], Jan. 20 : Blake Lively, who bagged the award for People's Choice's 'Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress' for her performance in 'The Shallows', took the stage to specially gush over her husband Ryan Reynolds.
During her acceptance speech, the 29-year-old star said, "Thank you to my husband, who is everything to me."
"It's true," she reaffirmed.
And after hearing the loud applause for Reynolds, Lively jokingly told the crowd, "You can't have him! He's mine!"

As the anticipation continues for the much-awaited live-action film, fans received news that the 48-year-old songstress will perform a new song titled 'How Does a Moment Last Forever' for the movie, reports E! Online.
Washington D.C. [USA], Jan. 20 : At a recently held anti-Trump demonstration just a half-mile away from Trump Tower, Alec Baldwin assured the crowd "there is hope" along with other Hollywood actors.
The 58-year-old actor, who is known for his Trump impersonation at SNL, said in his speech, "Trump and Pence think you're going to lay down. That's one thing about New Yorkers: You don't lay down," according to Hollywood Reporter.
London [UK], Jan. 20 : As he kicked off the 'Make America Great Again' welcome celebration, Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight complained about the 'barrage of lies' aimed at President-elect Donald Trump during his campaign.
"We have all been witness to a very grueling year and a half for the president-elect," said the 78-year-old.
"We have been witness to a barrage of propaganda that left us all breathless with anticipation, not knowing if God could reverse all the negative lies against Mr. Trump, whose only desire is to make America great again," reports Daily Mail.
London [UK], Jan. 20 : Brazilian singer Loalwa Braz, best known for the 1980s hit Lambada, has been found dead in a burnt-out car in Brazil.
A police official said Braz, 63, was found in the coastal district of Saquerema near Rio de Janeiro, reports Daily Mail.
Brazilian media said the singer's body was found totally burned inside the car near her home.
Local media outlet Globo reported the crew was working on extinguishing a fire in the property which had gutted the attic when they realised there was a body in the burning car.
Los Angeles [US], Jan. 20 : Kanye West has not been invited to perform at Donald Trump's inaugural as 'Ye's music, according to a spokesperson for president-elect's inauguration committee, is not right for the "typically and traditionally American event."
The lineup of performers at Trump's inauguration certainly could be stronger - but his team didn't even bother asking West.
"We haven't asked him," Tom Barrack, chairman of the Presidential Inauguration Committee, told CNN as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Los Angeles [US], Jan. 20 : Priyanka Chopra is someone who does not let anything, and definitely not an injury, to hold her back.
At the red carpet of the recently held People's Choice Awards, the actress, who has just recovered from a fall, said she won't stop doing her own stunts.
"I just have to wear my brace for a couple days and then I'm fine," Priyanka said, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
The 34-year-old went on to detail how she got injured.
