Judi Dench, Emma Watson honored with Bafta's Britannia Awards

London, Nov 1 - Judi Dench and Emma Watson were honored with the acclaimed at the Britannia Awards by Bafta in Los Angeles recently.

The 79-year-old veteran actress, who was handed the worldwide contribution award by Dustin Hoffman, said she was "overwhelmed" to have received the accolade, which was named after 'James Bond' producer Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, the BBC reported.

She added that though she didn't know Broccoli, she had done Bond films for 17 years, and was "very proud" that she had something in his name.

Dench, who'll soon be seen in sequel of 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' also said that she found it rude that people expected her to take it slow with movies, and had no such plans.

Meanwhile, Watson, 24, who was named British artist of the year, presented by Ben Barnes, paid tribute to the 'Skyfall' star saying that iconic actress comprised of "soul, grace, strength and beauty," and she wanted to be like her.

Other celebrities honored at the event which was hosted by Rob Brydon were Robert Downey Jr., who received the Stanley Kubrick Award for excellence in film, director Mike Leigh, who won the directing award, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who was honored for her excellence in comedy, and Mark Ruffalo, who was handed the Britannia humanitarian award.

Other British acting talent at the event included Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne. (ANI)
