Court curbs on 'YJHD' release on TV
New Delhi, June 10 : On a law suit filed by the manufacturer of squash Rooh Afza, the Delhi High Court has restrained the makers of Hindi film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD) from releasing the movie on TV due to some allegedly objectionable dialogues.
Justice Manmohan Singh said, in an order made available Monday, that the curbs were not applicable to the theatre version of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, which was released in the cinema halls last week.
Vidya to perform moonwalk on IDS sets
Mumbai, June 10 : Actress Vidya Balan will be seen emulating Michael Jackson's moonwalk on the sets of “India's Dancing Superstar” (IDS) while promoting her forthcoming film "Ghanchakkar".
MJ5, a Delhi-based dance group, which is participating in the reality show, is famous for their locking and popping. The group memberes taught the 35-year-old actress how to do moonwalk.
Jaaved-Naved-Ravi to team up for TV show again?
New Delhi, June 10 : Hit trio Jaaved Jaffrey, Naved Jaffrey and Ravi Behl who made hit dance show "Boogie Woogie" are likely to come together on the small screen once again.
The three judges had created a benchmark for reality shows with their dance competition series "Boogie Woogie", which was on air for over a decade and discovered talent from across the nation.
'Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath' completes 200 episodes
Mumbai, June 10 : TV crime show "Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath" successfully completed 200 episodes. Actor Aman Verma, who plays ACP Diler Kumar, calls it a "combined effort".
The show went on air last January last year and got high ratings after shifting focus on the stories that interest children.
Priyanka Chopra's father cremated
Mumbai, June 10 : Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's father Ashok Chopra, who passed away Monday afternoon, was cremated Monday evening at Oshiwara crematorium here.
Many Bollywood celebrities - including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Punit Malhotra, Anurag Basu, Ramesh Taurani, Arjan Bajwa - attended the cremation.
Manna Dey's condition stable, though critical
Bangalore, June 10 : The condition of 94-year-old legendary singer Manna Dey is stable though critical as he is on life-support system in the intensive care unit (ICU), a spokesman of Narayana Health Hospital here said Monday.
"Mannada's condition is stable now. He is responding to the treatment. His condition has improved compared to yesterday (Sunday). He is in the ICU on life-support system," hospital spokesman K. S. Vasuki told IANS here.
Liam Gallagher still takes steroids
