Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Baywatch' release date announced!

Los Angeles: The release date of Indian actress Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood debut 'Baywatch' has been set as May 19, 2017. The film's principal photography has already begun, Paramount Pictures has announced.

The American studio made the announcement on Friday via a statement, adding that the movie will be shot in Miami and Savannah.

'Baywatch' is the film version of the popular 1990s TV series of the same name. And Priyanka, who has garnered success on the international fiction TV space with 'Quantico', will be seen in a negative role in the movie.

Chennai: Music composer-turned-actor Vijay Antony, who plays a beggar in the forthcoming Tamil action-thriller 'Pichaikkaran', says he had to shoot some scenes of the film with real beggars on the roadside to make everything look authentic.

"My director insisted that we shoot on the roads with real beggars. Although they were informed about the shoot, we filmed the scenes very secretly and, hence, managed to capture very realistic performances," Vijay said at the audio launch on Thursday.

He added that he didn't find it difficult to slip into the role of a beggar.

Italian writer Umberto Eco dies aged 84

Rome: The Italian author Umberto Eco, a philosopher who wrote best-selling novels including "The Name of the Rose," has died at 84, Italian media said today, quoting his family.

Eco, who had been suffering from cancer, passed away at 9:30 pm (local time) yesterday, La Repubblica said on its website.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest writers in modern Italian literature, Eco was born on January 5, 1932, at Alessandria in the northern region of Piedmont.

Pearl Harbor: Shawn Winrich, visiting Hawaii from Madison, Wisconsin, was taking photos of Pearl Harbor when he saw a helicopter "essentially coming straight at us" at a popular tourist destination that attracts thousands of visitors daily.

He switched to video, recording as the helicopter appeared to lose altitude and get closer to the water. "I thought it would be great video, whatever it is, and all of a sudden it essentially just fell out of the sky and crash-landed in the water," he said.

He stopped filming and jumped in to help.
