India opt to bowl against Pakistan in Asia Cup

Mirpur (Dhaka), Feb.27 (ANI): India have won the toss and elected to bowl against arch-rivals Pakistan in the fourth Asia Cup contest here at Shere Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.

Ajinkya Rahane has replaced injured regular left-hand opener Shikhar Dhawan as the only change in the squad that won the opening match against hosts Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi will lead Pakistan against India for the first time as T20 captain.

Both nations will take to the field together for the first time since the last World T20 in 2014.

Ahmedabad, Feb.27 : Australian ultra-marathoner Pat Farmer, who embarked on a 60-day 'Spirit of India Run' to Kashmir from Kanyakumari last month, marked his halfway point with a visit to the home of one of India's greatest leaders.

On the way to Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state of Gujarat, Farmer and his crew stopped by Sabarmati Ashram - the home where Mahatma Gandhi developed his plans for an independent India.

"Today I had the great privilege, one of the greatest moments of my life, to be able to step inside Mahatma Gandhi's home," Farmer said.

Kohli's die-hard Pakistani fan granted bail

Karachi, Feb.27 : The die-hard Pakistani fan of Virat Kohli, who was arrested last month for hoisting the Indian flag on the rooftop of his house, has been granted bail by a court.

According to the Dawn, the Additional district and Sessions court in Okara admitted bail plea of Umer Daraz, whose initial bail plea was rejected by a local magistrate last week.

The court also ordered Daraz to furnish a surety bond worth Rs 50,000.

Daraz was celebrating Kohli's knock of 90 not out, which set up India's 37-run win in the first of three Twenty20 internationals against Australia in January.
