SRK shoots 'Fan' at Madamme Tussauds

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has shot a segment of his upcoming film "Fan" at the famous Madame Tussauds, London, which has his own wax figure.

The Maneesh Sharma-helmed film has become the first Bollywood movie to be shot at Tussauds. Shah Rukh expressed his "thanks" to the authorities in a tweet.

"Thanx Madame Tussauds. Allowing us 2 shoot Fan with all 'ur' stars & our star Maneesh. Very gracious of u. 1st film to shot at ur premises (sic)," he said.

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan had celebrity friends Farah Khan, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar as participants on the finale of his TV show "India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?"

The reality game show, adapted from the "Who's Asking?" international format, began on March 2 and ended yesterday.

The season finale saw Karan, Farah, Alia and Anushka braving questions from the askers.

The &TV show has had participants and askers from various walks of life like journalists from Punjab, a mother-son pair from Ahmedabad, popular Indian cricketers, professionals and kids. --- PTI

1st witness in assault case against Saif Ali Khan to depose next month

Mumbai: The first witness -- the complainant -- in the case of assault against Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan related to fracas at a five-star hotel here in 2012 will depose next month before the local magistrate's court.

"Iqbal Sharma, the complainant, will depose next month," said Public Prosecutor Wajid Sheikh.

The court today allowed the exemption application filed by the actor but said he must be present at the next date.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan is not playing the baddie in 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' with director Dibakar Banerjee Monday saying the superstar had rejected an offer for the role.

Banerjee, who launched the detective sleuth's second trailer where a man with a mask grabs the limelight, said Aamir did not take up the role as he was already playing a negative character in 'Dhoom 3'.

Mumbai - Actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who is currently busy filming 'Wazir', is travelling to Srinagar, Kashmir for the movie's final shooting schedule.

The upcoming drama, which has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar of 'Shaitan' fame, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, besides Akhtar.

"Off to Srinagar now for the final schedule on 'Wazir'.. Flight delayed by an hour... Good things come to those who wait, I guess," the 41-year-old 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' star posted on twitter.

Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he gets overwhelmed with pride whenever he listens to the National Anthem.

The 72-year-old actor, who made his cricket commentary debut during the India-Pakistan match in the ongoing World Cup tournament yesterday, praised the custom of playing National Anthems of competing teams before a cricket match.

"Simply loved the way we all stood up in the studio when the National Anthems of both the country's played in Adelaide... Anthems emotionally drive you into that... And what a precision activated operation," Bachchan posted on his blog.

Mumbai: Actor Tiger Shroff will be next seen in producer Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Baaghi' after collaborating with him on his debut film 'Heropanti'.

'Baaghi', produced by Nadiadwala and UTV Motion Pictures, will be directed by Sabbir Khan, who also helmed 'Heropanti'.

"Yes for all those who are asking - Our film is called 'Baaghi- Rebel for Love'... Details to follow," Sabbir tweeted.

The movie will be released on April 15, 2016.--PTI
