He can be a tough competitor: Amitabh Bachchan on Mika's acting debut

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wished singer Mika Singh for his acting debut in 'Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya' and said the 'Pungi' hitmaker is capable of becoming his competition in the film industry.

The 71-year-old actor unveiled the music of the film, which also stars another Bollywood playback singer Shaan and shared his fondness for Mika.

"In our family everybody loves Mika's singing style and today I am here on this special occasion on his invite only," Bachchan said.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has commenced preparations for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's next production venture to be directed by Bejoy Nambiar.

Besides the 71-year-old actor, the film, which is a story about a chess player, also stars Farhan Akhtar. Bachchan says he is enjoying the pre-shooting sessions and thinks it is a great exercise for the entire star cast of the movie.

Mumbai: Actor Abhay Deol has clarified that he will not star in Dev Benegal's next 'Bombay Samurai, contrary to reports.

"So many reports about me doing 'Bombay Samurai'. Not true! Love Dev Benegal's work though. My best wishes to him and all involved," Abhay posted on Twitter.

Mumbai: Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia is bringing back 'Aashiqui 2' stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor on-screen for his much-ambitious love story 'Milan Talkies'.

The two were finalised for the film after a string of actors including Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha opted out of the Balaji Motion Pictures-produced project.

Mumbai: Veteran actress Rekha`s much-awaited film `Super Nani` will release this Diwali when superstar Shah Rukh Khan`s `Happy New Year` will also hit the screens.

`Super Nani` has been confirmed for release this Diwali on October 24, a press release issued here said.

Touted as Rekha`s long awaited comeback to mainstream venture, the film also stars Sharman Joshi, Shweta Kumar, Anupam Kher and Randhir Kapoor.
