Mumbai, March 30 - Sonam Kapoor has opted out of Mani Ratnam's new Tamil film which launches the veteran Tamil actor Karthik's son Gautham. The role has now gone to the upcoming Tamil-Telugu actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu who also will maker her Bollywood debut with "Assi Nabey Poore Sau".

"At this point in her career going Southwards for Sonam would give the wrong signal to the filmmakers in Bollywood. Mani had his heart set on Sonam since she suited the young innocent effervescent sophisticated girl's role to the hilt. He had to look for a last-minute replacement," said a source.

New Delhi, March 30 - British model Hazel is all set to woo Bhojpuri star Ravi Kissen in her traditional avatar in the movie "Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal".

The model, who has earlier featured in films like "MP3 - Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar", "U, Me aur Hum" and "Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon", will be seen grooving in a red chiffon sari in the locales of Bihar for the movie.

She joins the league of Madhuri Dixit who did it in the "Dhak dhak" song, Sushmita Sen oozed oomph in her saris in "Main Hoon Na" and Sridevi did it in "Kaate nahin kat tey" in "Mr. India".

"People keep asking me when will we see you on screen with your father? But he (Jeetendra) should be interested in it. I think he is not interested in getting back to the films. He is enjoying his business and now he thinks like a business man. I don't think my dad wants to comeback in films," Tusshar told IANS.

New Delhi, March 30 - Dia Mirza is happy she is treading new ground. After turning producer, the actress is excited about her first Bengali movie "Paanch Adhyay".

The 30-year-old, whose mother is a Bengali, says this is his first regional movie. The film will be directed by Pratim D. Gupta and is expected to release around Durga Puja in October.

"I want to do few, but quality stuff at this point. I don't feel the need to be on the sets everyday. I am happy I am doing a Bengali film. It's the first time I am doing a regional project, and I am excited," she said.

"I'm not only famous for Sufi songs. I sing all kind of songs with different moods. For instance, 'Love sex or dhoka' for the movie 'LSD', 'Chakde phate' in ' Khosla Ka Ghosla,' and 'Touba touba' from the album 'Kailasa'. They are not Sufi at all. I can sing all type of songs. I'm famous for soulful songs," Kher told IANS in an interview over the phone.
