Rome, Feb 27 - Emporio Armani and Gianfranco Ferre unveiled designs during Milan Fashion Week characterized by a simplicity of form and colour as the style women will wear during the next fall-winter season.
On the runway Emporio Armani made it clear that articles of men's clothing will be a must for women, above all jackets with sharp angles and dark, restrained colours.
Rome, June 29 - The Cinetecta of Bologna film archive in Italy's Bologna city has found a five-page manuscript by Charlie Chaplin outlining an idea for a work never made, but inspired by the life of Russian ballet dancer Vaclav Nijinsky.
"The theme of the play is that a career is not the fulfillment of man's desires, but only a road leading to his destiny. Naginsky was inarticulate, sensitive and shy with a funny passion and an imagination that launched his soul, because he had only one means of expressing himself," said the manuscript.
Milan, June 16 - A male model said at the "bunga bunga" sex trial for former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi that he was offered 4,000 euros by teenage Moroccan nightclub dancer Ruby to have sex with her.
"Ruby, who I put up for two nights at my home, said she'd give me 4,000 euros if I had sex with her," Antonio Passaro told the court Friday.
The 75-year-old Berlusconi is on trial for having sex with an underage prostitute, and abuse of office over his alleged relations with Moroccan-born Ruby, whose real name is Karima El Mahroug.
