Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Actor Alan Thicke died because of a ruptured aorta, states his official death certificate. He died on December 14 at age 69.
Thicke, known for playing a quintessential father on television of the 1980s, died of a "ruptured aorta" and a "standard type A aortic dissection", according to the certificate, reports people.com.
It states that Thicke died minutes after his aorta ruptured.
Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Actor-director Baltasar Kormakur, best known for films like "Everest" and "2 Guns", feels a lot of people tend to do gimmicky acting because "thats whats often got rewarded".
"I think unfortunately, a lot of people tend to do gimmicky acting because that's what's often got rewarded. But when I see people allow the audience into yourself, I think that is what really touches me in cinematic acting," Kormakur said in a statement.
Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Model Chrissy Teigen says she doesn't own any piece of jewellery.
The 31-year-old, who has eight-month-old daughter Luna with her husband John Legend, says she is in desperate "need" of some (jewellery), reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"I don't own any jewellery because on shoots, I always have to return it. Note to John... I need jewellery," Teign told Elle magazine.
The "Lip Sync battle" co-host, who gave birth to her first child in April this year, says she hasn't stripped off to reveal her post-baby body since giving birth until her shoot with the magazine.
Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Actor James Franco feels he is "pretty bad in the romance department" as he is not very good at executing "grand gestures".
"I've been pretty bad in the romance department," Franco told etonline.com.
"I think I'm a caring guy, but the grand gestures I'm not great at. I need to put more work into it," he added.
While Franco is a little unlucky in love, his brother Dave is set to marry Alison Brie next year and Franco is greatly looking forward to it.

Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Actress Mischa Barton has slammed popular dance reality show "Dancing With the Stars" while comparing it to the "The Hunger Games" franchise.
Barton was voted out from the 22nd season of the American show earlier this year.But she says she wasn't disappointed because the "popularity contest" was so "awful" and she didn't have a good relationship with her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, reports dailymail.co.uk.
"Ugh, I had no idea it would be so bad. I got told off by my dancer," Barton told news website The Ringer.
Los Angeles, Dec 22 : Actress Lena Dunham has apologised for her "distasteful" abortion joke, which she made during the latest episode of her "Women of the Hour" podcast.
In the episode, Dunham had recalled an incident at a Planned Parenthood NGO meeting in Texas when she was asked to share a story about her own abortion. She said that she had never gone through the procedure, before adding: "But I wish I had."
Her remarks prompted a wave of criticism online.
Dunham later took to Instagram to apologise for the joke, reports mirror.co.uk.
Los Angeles, Dec 21 : Is actress Hilary Duff, who has split from athlete Jason Walsh, dating actor Scott Eastwood? The two had a fun night out over the weekend.
According to a source, Duff had dinner with a girl friend at Catch LA restaurant on Saturday before they were joined by Eastwood, reports eonline.com.
Duff and Eastwood began to have a conversation and "at one point, she was very flirtatious with Scott", said the source.
The insider added: "The two talked for quite some time. Hilary was all smiles and looked happier than ever despite her recent split."
Los Angeles, Dec 21 : Actress Melanie Griffith has been roped in to appear as a guest in the second season of television drama series "The Path".
[NK Hollywood] Griffith has been cast as the mother to Noa (Britne Oldford), a new recurring character this season, reports variety.com.
Griffith's character is described as being successful in the music industry, so Cal (Hugh Dancy) will do anything to get her support for the Meyerist movement.
"The Path" also stars Aaron Paul and Michelle Monaghan. The streaming series is about members of a fictional cult known as Meyerism.
