Johnson was front and centre for the dramatic video that he shared on his Instagram page, where he was joined by scores of his fellow actors in a prison fight scene, reports mirror.co.uk.

Johnson broke the news via his Instagram, reports variety.com.

He posted: "BREAKING: Baller alert. After just two episodes into our Season 2 of 'Ballers', @HBO has ordered season 3! Congratulations to our hard working cast, crew, producers and our show's creator Stephen Levinson.

Johnson, who has garnered quite a tally of top-grossing films in recent years, has brought in a total of 64.5million dollar-earnings in the 15 years since his silver screen debut in 'The Mummy Returns, reports the Independent.

However, he is ranked 19th on Forbes' coveted list, on which he first appeared in 2012.

Los Angeles, June 24 : Actor Dwayne Johnson is reportedly being eyed by Universal Pictures to play the lead role in its "The Wolf Man" reboot.

The upcoming reboot has currently been under production at the studio with Aaron Guzikowski penning the script. The project is part of its plan to revive its classic monsters.

It will be included in the studio's shared monster universe, which is being overseen by Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Morgan wrote the screenplay of "Furious 7", in which Johnson played Luke Hobbs.

Los Angeles, June 23 : Actor Dwayne Johnson, under his Seven Bucks Productions, will produce an adaptation of graphic novel "Son of Shaolin".

The book is written by Jay Longino.

Sources describe the project as a contemporary story about the Chinese martial art Kung Fu, reports deadline.com.

Johnson is currently filming for "Fast and Furious 8", "Jumanji" reboot and "Rampage".

The script will be penned by "Skiptrace" screenplay writer Longino, who will also be executive producer of the project alongside Ryan Kalil. IANS

The 44-year-old star took to Instagram to post a photograph of himself spending some time with his daughter Jasmine, who couldn't keep her eyes off his tattoo, reports aceshowbiz.com.

He said that when she grew up, he would tell her the story and the meaning of his tattoo during a "daddy/daughter chat".

In the image, Jasmine placed her hands on her father's tattoo. She appeared to be impressed with the ink work as she threw a deep gaze at it.
