Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 16 : Hollywood actor and former 'WWE' champ Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson continues to hit the jackpot and does not seem to be slowing down any bit any time soon.

The world's highest-paid actor has big box-office draw but it's his even bigger heart that made the 'Moana' star People's magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' of 2016.

The 44-year-old welcomed the title saying, "That's awesome."

"And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is," Johnson told the magazine in this week's cover story.

The 'Fast 8' star recently took to Instagram to share a tentative look of his character, the smouldering Dr Bravestone, who appears to be an Indiana Jones' look alike explorer, reports Entertainment weekly.

Johnson poked fun through the caption, writing, "not sure where my pecs went," but the star also seemed very excited about the forthcoming project.

London, Jul 14 : 'The Rock' aka Dwayne Johnson is now officially the highest paid actor in the world, says the recently published 'Forbes World's Highest-Paid Celebrities Of 2016.'

Johnson, who has garnered quite a tally of top-grossing films in recent years, has brought in a total of 64.5million dollar-earnings in the 15 years since his silver screen debut in 'The Mummy Returns, reports the Independent.

However, he is ranked 19th on Forbes' coveted list, on which he first appeared in 2012.

The upcoming reboot has currently been under production at the studio with Aaron Guzikowski penning the script. The project is part of its plan to revive its classic monsters.

It will be included in the studio's shared monster universe, which is being overseen by Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Morgan wrote the screenplay of "Furious 7", in which Johnson played Luke Hobbs.
