Los Angeles, April 15 : Grammy Award-winning rapper has been sued for illegally sampling a song by musician Bill Withers.
Mattie Music Group, a music company which says it owns the rights to Withers' "Don't you want to stay", has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming he sampled the veteran singer's 1975 song without their permission on "I do this" off his 2009 eponymous EP, reports tmz. com.
Auckland, March 19 : Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who is here to headline the Auckland City Limits Music Festival, took his first-ever helicopter ride on a visit to the Waiheke Island in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand.
Lamar began his Auckland adventure with a helicopter flight across Auckland's Waitemata Harbour to the Waiheke Island.
"What a way to see Auckland, I've been able to take my first ever helicopter ride and check out this stunning city from the sky," Lamar said in a statement.

Johannesburg, Jan. 2 - Kendrick Lamar, who has bagged the 11 nominations in the upcoming Grammy awards, recently revealed that he wishes to win all of them.
The 28-year-old singer claimed that he wants to take them all home so that he could make a statement for the hip-hop culture, reports News24.com.
Lamar said that winning all the 11 Grammys will not only be a statement for him, but it will be a statement for the culture.
