Melbourne, May 20 : Spotlights moved away from Sir Paul McCartney, when a 10-year-old girl came on stage and asked if she could play the bass alongside the former Beatle member during his recent concert.

The 73-year-old singer replied, "This could be interesting. OK, I didn't see this coming," reports News. com. au.

Meanwhile, the girl named Leila surprised the musician and the crowd as she jammed along to the 1969 Beatle track, 'Get Back.'

Following the performance, the crowd applauded the young bassist, while chanting, "ole, ole, ole, Leila." (ANI)

Los Angeles: Singing legend Paul McCartney has been forced to delay several first dates of his US tour as he is still recovering from a virus.

The former member of The Beatles announced the postponement and apologized to fans in a statement posted on his website on June 9, reportedly.

"I`m sorry but it`s going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again. I`m feeling great but taking my docs` advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon," the veteran singer wrote.

Los Angeles, May 8 : Singer Paul McCartney and his brother Mike McGear almost drowned in a lime pit as boys, but luckily their screams were heard by neighbour.

The 71-year-old legend's brother, Mike McGear, revealed that two of them were lucky to be alive after they "were clinging for their lives" in a ditch.

"We were screaming and clinging on for our lives. Eventually, a neighbour heard us. He pulled us out," contactmusic. com quoted McGear as saying.

He admits that their father, James McCartney, was not pleased when he found out, but since they were visibly shaken he let them off.

London, Feb 25 : Sir Paul McCartney has hired a personal instructor in attempt to learn skiing during his winter break in the French Alps.

According to the Mirror, the Beatles great's 53-year-old spouse, Nancy Shevell , who has accompanied him on the trip, has chosen their warm private lodge over the icy slopes.

McCartney is apparently taking a break after filming a special TV show, dubbed 'The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles', to commemorate 50 years since the group made their debut on American television. (ANI)
