Netflix picks up Tom Hardy's 'War Party'

Los Angeles [USA], Mar.17 : Netflix is surely on a roll! The online streaming giant is leaving no stone unturned to make its presence felt in the Hollywood film industry.

Netflix has picked up ' War Party', an adventure project, which has Tom Hardy attached to star, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Ridley Scott all set to produce the project.

Andrew Dominik, who previously helmed Brad Pitt's 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,' is all set to don thedirector's hat for the movie. He will co-write the story with Harrison Query.

London [UK], Jan. 17 : Tom Hardy, who happens to be among the speculated contenders for the role of 007 in the next movie, recently confirmed his interest in playing the infamous agent.

Speaking to the Daily Beast, the 39-year-old actor was keen to express enthusiasm at the interviewer's suggestion 'Inception' director Christopher Nolan take over the franchise, the Guardian reports.

"Oh, wow, Chris would be amazing!" said the 'Mad Max: Fury Road' star, adding, "Wow, that would be cool. That would be so cool."

Washington D.C. [USA], Dec. 9 : Looks like 'The Revenant' star Tom Hardy is going to pay in ink for a wager he made with his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio regarding an 'Oscar nomination' for the former's work in the hit movie.

The 39-year-old actor revealed, in an interview with Esquire UK, that after losing the bet made last year, he would now have to get a tattoo in DiCaprio's handwriting, reports Variety.

"I haven't got it yet because it sucks," Hardy told Esquire.

Los Angeles, Dec 8 : Actor Tom Hardy has revealed that after losing a wager with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, he would now have to get a tattoo in DiCaprios handwriting.

"I haven't got it yet because it sucks," Hardy told Esquire magazine.

The bet was made during awards season earlier this year, when DiCaprio bet that Hardy would receive an Oscar nomination for his work in "The Revenant", though Hardy was certain he wouldn't, reports variety.com.
