London, March 24 - Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that as a youngster he gave up the dream of becoming a superstar musician following a fall-out with his guitar teacher.

Cowell wanted to become a rock star while growing up. So he began learning the guitar aged 12, but his dream was shattered by a nasty argument with his tutor, reports contactmusic. com.

"I was bought an electric guitar when I was 12 but my guitar teacher beat me up. I didn't like guitar lessons and I got quite bored," Cowell told Britain's The Independent newspaper.

New Delhi, March 23 - A special Hindi theme song titled "Hello Andhero" has been composed by popular band Agnee for the release of much-anticipated Hollywood movie "The Avengers", which hits the screens April 27.

Agnee's members have composed and performed the number, while its lyrics have been penned by writer-filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala.

"This one's been a song that's taken us on a long and very satisfying journey," Agnee's Mohan and Koco said in a press statement.

Mumbai, March 23 - As a string of harvest festivals began in Maharashtra Friday, the weekend came a day earlier with people across the state celebrating Gudi Padwa (New Year's day) with enthusiasm.

Celebrated on the first day of the Hindu month of Chaitra, people clean their houses and decorate the entrance with intricate rangoli designs, mango leaves and marigold flowers on Gudi Padwa. A gudi (banner) with a swastika-marked pot and silk cloth at prominent places in front of each house is also raised to mark the day.

"I like to stay in my own bubble. It's my way to protect myself, because I happen to be in the newspaper more often than not," she added.
