New Yorkers applaud Pakistani documentary

Islamabad, March 7 - Oscar-winning Pakistani documentary "Saving Face" has been screened in New York and was well-received, it was reported here.

Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy's documentary about acid attacks on women received resounding applause Monday night from a packed-to-capacity crowd following its screening in the Asia Society auditorium, Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

The 40-minute film is set to premier in the US March 8.

The couple got married in a private ceremony in Hawaii in 2010 and since then Fox has forged a strong bond with Green's nine-year-old son Kassius.

Mumbai, March 7 - Actress Mahie Gill was approached to do Sneh Tuli's "Dekho.. Yeh Hai Mumbai" but opted out due to issues with dates and the role went to Preeti Jhangiani.

Mahie had to opt out of the project as she was unable to give bulk dates for the shooting. Tuli then offered the film to Preeti and she readily accepted.

According to the sources, Tuli is happy with the change and the writer-director has no complains with Mahie. She is confident that the film will give Preeti's acting career a new dimension. (IANS)

According to grapevine, “Abhishek Bachchan’s close friend Goldie Behl will produce his next film, which will be directed by Anurag Basu. Apparently the role was created specifically for Abhishek and is Basu’s biggest project till date.”
