London, March 5 : "Skyfall" hitmaker Adele may have bought a lavish mansion worth seven million pounds in West Sussex, South England, but if her aunt Anita Adkins is to be believed, the singer is as grounded as always.

"Adele is as down-to-earth as ever. She hasn't changed with her success, she is who she is. She's quite thrifty with her money, she knows not to throw it around. She's not a waster, she wasn't brought up to waste," femalefirst. co. uk quoted Adkins as saying.

Adele, 24, recently won an Oscar for the song "Skyfall".

London, Mar 2 - Singer Adele will join fellow musical superstars Beyonce Knowles, Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse, when Madame Tussauds unveils a wax statue in her honour here.

Los Angeles, Feb 19 - Singer Adele, who will perform at the Oscar ceremony Sunday - her first stage performance since delivering a child, is practicing breathing therapy to beat her stage fright, as suggested by singer Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field.

Adele has been undergoing special Chinese Qi Gong breathing therapy.

Los Angeles, Feb 11 - Singers Paul McCartney, Adele and Beyonce Knowles walked away with awards in different categories at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held here Sunday night.

While McCartney won the best traditional pop vocal album for "Kisses On The Bottom", Knowles was given the award for best traditional R&B performance for her song "Love On Top" from her album "4".

McCartney pipped Michael Buble's "Christmas" and Carole King's "A Holiday Carole" to win the honour.

Los Angeles, Feb 9 : British singer Adele has reportedly rented Paul McCartney's old house here to practice for her performance at the Oscar ceremony.

The 24-year-old, said to be battling stage fright, is paying 47,000 pounds a month to rehearse in the house, reports thesun. co. uk.

"Adele is really nervous about her Oscars performance, so decided against staying in a hotel where there would be lots of people around. The property's up in the hills so guarantees her privacy," a source said.

"And what better place to get musical inspiration than an ex-Beatle's home," the source added.

Los Angeles, Jan 27 - Singer Adele reportedly refuses to speak to her father and won't allow him to meet his new grandson.

In an interview with The Mail On Sunday, Mark Evans said the "Skyfall" singer cut him out of her life in 2011 after he gave an interview about the Oscar nominee, reports showbizspy. com.

"I've left messages on her phone, I've written to her and I've sent her birthday and Christmas cards but it's like I'm dead to her," he said.

The 16-year-old says she lost over two kg weight in order to look like a star but it was Adele's tweet that helped her accept herself, reports dailymail. co. uk.

Adele, 24, sent a message on Twitter right after her first performance last month. It said: "Ella Henderson on 'The X Factor' is absolutely incredible! I Love her!! Good luck!."
