Los Angeles, May 22 : Actress Jessica Alba has been honoured in recognition of her philanthropic efforts towards children-related issues.
The 32-year-old was handed the Champion for Children Award by Philip J. Landrigan, the director of Mount Sinai Children's Environmental Health Center in Connecticut Monday, reports contactmusic. com.
Alba was given the honour for helping in advancing the centre's mission through her work, which includes her eco-friendly baby product line- Honest and her book, The Honest Life. (IANS)
Los Angeles, April 6 : Hollywood actress Jessica Alba says she will only accept roles which are worth leaving her kids alone for. The 31-year-old admits she hates being away from her children.
The actress has two daughters - Honor, four, and 20-month-old Haven, with husband Cash Warre. She says her priority shifted from her career to her family as soon as she became a mother.

Los Angeles, Aug 28 - Actress Jessica Alba fired guns at a shooting range as part of her training for upcoming movie "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For".
The 31-year-old, who appeared in 2005 film "Sin City", is set to reprise her role as Nancy Callahan, a dancer who gets mixed up in the criminal underworld.
Alba said she has been enjoying target practice at a firing range in California.

Los Angeles, May 18 - Actress Jessica Alba has revealed that she uses double-stick tape to avoid high-heel related injuries.
"I stick every shoes to the bottom of my foot with double-stick tape," femalefirst. co. uk quoted the 31-year-old as saying.
The actress admitted it was her past experiences that have left her wary. "Shoes have fallen off, I've fallen to the ground. It's all happened," she said. (IANS)
