London, Nov 2 : Actress Keira Knightley feels she is lucky to be able to work as a young mother as she is able to afford child care for her daughter Edie.

"I've become unbelievably aware of that and how lucky I've been to be able to afford really good child care, because otherwise it would be at least four years out of my career," Knightley told Harper's Bazaar magazine.

The actress added: "I wouldn't be able to get back to where I'd been if I'd taken four years out. I think that's the same for most women. And I think that's really hard."

The 31-year-old, who has been the face of the luxury designer brand Chanel's beauty campaigns, says she only wore smudgy eyeliner when she was a teenager, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I didn't do anything with my skin until I started getting acne, at which point I did everything possible to get rid of it. I tried a million products, but none of them worked," InStyle magazine quoted Knightley as saying.

The ' Fist 2 Fist' director recently took to his social media account to pen an apology to the 31-year-old actress and said he is ashamed that he could say such things, adding "in trying to pick holes in my own work, I ended up blaming someone else," reports E! online.

Branding his comments to be "arrogant" and "dispectful," Carney continued that "Keira was nothing but professional and dedicated during the film."

Los Angeles, May 30 : Director John Carney has criticised actress Keira Knightley's work in 2013 film "Begin Again". He says he wouldn't like to work with her again.

"I'll never make a film with supermodels again," Carney told Independent newspaper, reports variety.com.

Knightley played a songwriter dumped by her musician boyfriend, played by Adam Levine, in "Begin Again". She then embarks on a new path in making music with Mark Ruffalo's character.

Carney had much more favourable memories of working with Levine and Ruffalo than with Knightley.

The 44-year-old filmmaker mentioned that he did not enjoy the experience of paparazzi and fabulous openings as the "movie star world" never appealed her.
