Los Angeles, March 9: Pop star Lady Gaga believes singer Kesha is being "publicly shamed" after a court failed to allow her to leave her recording contract over allegations that she has been sexually assaulted by producer Dr. Luke.

After a judge last month refused to release Kesha from her contract with Luke's Kemosabe Records, which is a subsidiary of Sony Music, a number of fellow musicians showed support to Kesha on social media. Gaga is one of them.

The 29-year-old popstar took to Twitter to extend her support to Kesha, "We can't be afraid to fight for our dignity. These are our basic human rights," - @ KeshaRose."
