Johannesburg, May 16 : Melissa McCarthy was actually scared of the actors in the ' Ghostbusters' movie.

In a recent interview, the 45-year-old actor said, "The first ghost we saw, we were all legitimately scared," reports Channel24.

McCarthy, who stars alongside Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in the new female-led reboot, said that she freaked out when her friend, with full makeup and costume of a ghoul, chased her.

For her, the ghosts looked "pretty darn terrifying."

Los Angeles, March 18 : Actress Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie St. James in the popular TV show "Gilmore Girls", says she is thrilled that its revival is happening.

Sookie St. James is not expected to be appearing in Netflix's "Gilmore Girls" revival.

"I don't think I am," McCarthy told eonline. com after she was asked if she is returning to Stars Hollow (a fictional small town in Connecticut featured on "Gilmore Girls").

"I didn't actually get asked to do it. But I think they thought I was busy, and then by the time it did come up, then I actually was."

Washington, June 8 - 20th Century Fox's Melissa McCarthy starrer 'Spy' is at the top of US box office with 30 million dollars earnings from 3,777 theaters.

According to Deadline. com, Warner Bros.' ' San Andreas' came second with 26.4 million dollars, ' Insidious Chapter 3' earned 23 million dollars from 3,002 theaters and ' Entourage' 10.4 million.

Chernin Entertainment's 'Spy' drew mostly females with 60 percent with most of the lot over 25 years of age.

The Paul Feig-directed film was initially scheduled to release over Memorial Day weekend, but Fox moved the date to June.

Washington, Jan 28 - ' Ghostbusters' is coming back, but this time with an all female cast.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, would be starring in Sony's Paul Feig-directed reboot, and while McCarthy has already signed on for the role, Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are still in negotiations.

The film is hoping to begin filming in summer in New York, and has been scheduled for a July 2016 release, as revealed by Feig on Twitter.

Los Angeles - Hollywood funnywoman Melissa McCarthy`s hands and footprints were immortalised at a ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Wearing a blue dress, the `Tammy` star was joined by her co-star Susan Sarandon and husband Ben Falcone at the event, reportedly.

The 43-year-old actress looked so happy as she posed for photos, being all-smiles and showing off her dirty hands. Sarandon was seen making a speech and joining the mother of two in front of the cameras.

"In my 20s I used to cry about why I wasn`t thinner or prettier, but I want to add that I also used to cry about things like: `I wish my hair would grow faster. I wish I had different shoes,`" she said.

"I have to blame director Paul Feig. If I said three obscenities, the only thing I'd hear from Paul was, 'Go for one more'. I think our total was up to 190. I'm going to need to apologise to my mom," contactmusic. com quoted McCarthy as saying.

The 42-year-old, who has kids Vivian, six, and Georgette, three, with actor-husband Ben Falcone, said she was thrilled with her husband's presence on the set. He has a cameo in the movie.
