Washington D. C., Jan. 29 : Natalie Portman may be playing a gun-slinging cowgirl in her latest film, 'Jane Got a Gun,' but in real life, she strongly advocates for tighter gun laws in the United States.

The 34-year-old actress said at the movie's New York premiere that she is definitely very concerned about the gun violence in the US, reports People Magazine.

When asked if she agrees with President Obama's recent effort to increase the gun ownership regulation, the actress passionately expressed her support, "Yes, absolutely."

Portman, 33, contemplates her decision in her high-low pink and white floral embellished gown, and ultimately decides she would rather remain a miss over a madame.

Los Angeles - Actress Natalie Portman will reportedly not star in Steve Jobs upcoming biopic.

The 33-year-old actress was lined up to play the female lead in the biopic, reported Variety.

"'Jobs' is still on the track to make its production date and actresses are already meeting for the part. However, no one knows the reason behind Portman parting her way from the film," a source said.

'Jobs' stars Micheal Fassbender as Jobs and Seth Rogen as Steven Woznaik. Danny Boyle is the directing the film. The script is written by Scott Rudin with Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady as producers.

Los Angeles - Oscar-winner Natalie Portman is reportedly in early talks to star in Universal's biopic of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

The actress is likely to join Michael Fassbender, who is playing Jobs in the Danny Boyle-directed film, said the Hollywood Reporter.

Sony Pictures had been working on developing the project, written by Aaron Sorkin, before Universal picked up the film. Many stars including Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio were attached to play Jobs at various phases but the role finally went to Fassbender. (PTI)
