Davis received the Harvard foundation 2017 'Artist of the Year' award, recently, at Harvard's Cultural Rhythms Festival in Cambridge.

According to Harvard Gazette, S. Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation said, "The students and faculty of the Harvard Foundation are delighted to present the acclaimed television and film artist Viola Davis with the 2017 Artist of the Year award."

"Sticky is like, when I was doing a movie and I was doing it with my 'fro and this Caucasian woman had her fingers in my hair. She said 'I'm going to make it really pretty' and so she put some white goo in it ... the goo only white people would use," Davis said during a TV show.

Davis will play the lead role of an FBI agent in the film, which centres on a cyber crime such as hacking, reports femalefirst. co. uk.

The film is being produced by Legendary Pictures, the studio behind "The Dark Knight" trilogy.

Davis recently finished filming "Prisoners" with Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Terrence Howard, and "Ender's Game" with Harrison Ford, Abigail Breslin and Ben Kingsley.
